Gold Star Chinese Restaurant

Food was flavorful and tender. Service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was good energy but as a simple storefront, come for the food, not the ambiance.

So far, I’ve only had the chicken and broccoli which is very good, but I have to say the real star out of the two items I ordered was the hot and sour soup! They’re hot and Sour soup is the best I’ve had in the area hands-down however it is very spicy so if you don’t want it spicy, ask them to alter it. Update I tried the curry shrimp and it was the best curry shrimp dish of any Chinese food establishment I’ve ever been to.

Ordered for delivery, website was was easy to use and had options for customization on the orders which was nice. I'm a pretty basic guy when it comes to Chinese food , a guilty as charged boneless BBQ spare rib lover, and I'm always looking for that perfect order. Chasing it like some sort of fever dream. And I have to say this place impressed me, the flavor of the ribs was fantastic. The quality of the meat was great and the cook on the meat was awesome with just the right amount of char and crunch and everything. The pieces of meat come surprisingly large which is a little different but honestly it worked, would absolutely recommend this place. Stopped by for a quick bite and decided on the combo meal of General Tsos Chicken and Pork Fried rice. Why does this restaurant have such high reviews?! The rice was mushy and seemed like it was scraped straight from the bottom of the pot and don't get me started on the chicken...it almost felt like I was eating super market Tyson chicken nuggets drowned in old gen tso sauce. What a terrible meal, and overpriced for what you get. Do NOT recommend.

Worst chinese food. Dry rice, dried out chicken wings. The egg roll was fried to hell.
