Gino's Deli @ Stop & Buy

First time at Gino's Deli at Stop & Buy and the experience was solid from start to finish. As soon as we walked in, the staff helped us through the menu and made ordering easy. We made a few changes (no onions, grilled instead, no pickles) and they handled it with no attitude at all. After ordering, we grabbed chips and drinks and paid. The store clerk was genuinely friendly and seemed excited to talk to every customer. The sandwich was easily one of the best I’ve had in San Antonio. Great environment, helpful staff, and seriously good food. Definitely coming back.

Don’t let the unassuming exterior fool you—this place absolutely delivers. The bread is incredibly soft and fresh, which makes a huge difference in a great sandwich. You can also tell the ingredients are fresh and high quality. The Italian sub was excellent with the perfect balance of meats and toppings, and the Philly cheesesteak was very good as well—hot, flavorful, and satisfying. It may look like a simple former convenience store from the outside, but the sandwiches here speak for themselves. Definitely worth stopping in if you’re craving a great sub.

I came in and the guy explained to me that it's not the 9th best sandwich in America. It's the 9th best sandwich shop in America, which I thought is still pretty cool. The guy was super excited to have us there as being new. He offered my kids free chips and drinks. I should have gotten the Italian. I think that's their most a popular sandwich and I think that's the one they're known for. They said they're also popular for their Philly cheesesteak they're Philly. Cheesesteak was good but definitely not the best one I've ever had. I'm going to go back again and try something else and hopefully I can take the food up to five stars. He also said he would give back my money if I didn't like my food. I did eat the whole sandwich. It wasn't terrible. I just don't think it would be the best th

Handsdown the best sandwich shop in San Antonio. The whole family enjoyed thier order. Bread was fresh and ingredients were perfectly grilled/melted to make the perfect taste combo. It's out of the way from where we live but will go out of our way to come back in the future!

I stopped by and honestly it was such a good experience. The place is very clean. The food is really fresh and you can customize pretty much anything which I love because I am picky. But what stood out the most was the staff. Everyone was so kind and welcoming and you can tell they actually care about what they are doing. It felt like one of those places you want to come back to again just because of how you are treated. Definitely recommend if you are in San Antonio.
