Ginkgo Katsu

I visited Ginkgo Katsu because I had heard from people that their tonkatsu was good. I ordered the fish katsu, and my wife ordered the cheese katsu. Unfortunately, the fish katsu was very disappointing. The fish fillet was extremely thin and felt like there was very little to eat. For the price, I didn’t think it offered good value at all. Personally, I don’t think I would ever order the fish katsu here again. The cheese katsu, on the other hand, was decent and more enjoyable, though not outstanding. As for the overall experience, the interior and the service didn’t feel particularly welcoming or friendly. Nothing was terrible, but it also didn’t leave a good impression. We ordered the pork katsu with cheese, absolutely incredible. The Katsu is seasoned incredibly well, cooked perfectly and crispy on the outside. It comes with a Katsu sauce and a dressing for the cabbage. It’s a lot of food, we were able to split this between two people just fine. Would definitely recommend and I’ll be coming back when I’m in the area again!

This place is a bit on the pricey side but the Katsu plates are good. I guess that makes it worth the price. We’ve had the plate size and the bento box and they both have good amount of food.

Delicious bento box. Great array: Takoyaki, California rolls, katsu, rice, lots of pickled veges. Will last you 2 or more meals depending how much you eat. Would make the trip back out!

Coming here all the time and my son loves their ton katsu so much! We come here everytuesday right before his basketball class! Will come back soon!!
