Ginger Beef Chinese Food

Ordered shrimp fried rice here and the rice they use is old and stale. Service was not good. Ignored me for five minutes until I had to get their attention. Atmosphere? I don’t know what to say. When I peeked into their kitchen, they had a portrait of Mao Zedong and this is in the USA. If you don’t know who he is, look him up. They might have taken it down by now but I was beyond perplexed.

Ginger Beef doesn't really have an eating area, so it's difficult to judge the atmosphere. I'd argue that this location is for carry out and delivery only...and that's OK. I've ordered here three times and have had a quality experience all three times...thick chunks of white, hot food, abundant wonton in your soup order, and friendly service. I've ordered the almond chicken twice and find they use a modest amount of sauce and breading. You won't find yourself with huge mystery chunks of fried MSG or dry stalks of pulled meat. Again, this location is primarily a kitchen and pick up in the tradition of what you'll find in the city, corner carry outs. Carry out dinner , tasty fresh ginger beef, sweet and dour chicken, orange beef, and chicken satay have graced our orders. Always so tasty! :) Agree takes longer than told, and that crispy orange beef is delicious but not necessarily crispy meat, but golly it is so good! Atmosphere fine for take-out. Many yummy dishes. Have not tried the burgers or Thai dishes, I think included so that nearby businesses have great options. Have been there three times, all different entrees and appetizers. . :) 😋

We've been going a long time. Not the most aestheticly pleasing interior, but the FOOD MORE THAN MAKES UP FOR IT. By far the first choice we make when choosing chinese grub in Fairfax County.

Usually the uglier the place, the better but I got a combo lo mien and they put dry chicken and like 3 pieces of shrimp. The other restaurants on the strip are better.
