Gilbert's Bed & Breakfast

My wife and I would like to thank Jeanne and Don for a truly wonderful weekend. This was our first time in a B&B, and it could not have been more positive. Don and Jeanne were wonderful hosts, the accomodations were clean, and comfortable; there home is a lovely old farmhouse, very tastefully decorated. Breakfast was always delicious, and satisfying. Conversation at the table was interesting as all guests are treated respectfully. As we travel to this area at least once a year we will certainly return at a later date.

Jeanne and Don were excellent host. We felt welcome from the moment we pulled up into the driveway. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast and the company around the table was lovely. A true B&B experience.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to be the recipients of a complimentary overnight stay at the Gilbert's in honor of Veteran's Day. Jeanne and Don were gracious hosts and their home felt like home to us for just a while. The home is immaculate and well appointed keeping with the old farm house feel. Jeanne made us a delicious breakfast of fresh cut fruit, sauteed eggs with veggies and cheese complete with ham steak as well as toast! We felt very comfortable and welcome. Jeanne even practiced a heart felt speech she had prepared to rehearse that day for a class she was taking. I learned that Don and I share a common bond as Marine Corps veterans! This is a couple who we would want to visit with evem if we weren't staying in town. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for

I had a wonderful visit to Gilberts B&B, a charming, private, bed and breakfast run by Jeanne and Don. They are just the kindest, warmest, most welcoming couple, who make you feel right at home. My room was quaint, comfortable, and private, and I couldn't ask for more. Breakfast was delicious, cooked to my specifications, and our conversation delightful. I cannot more highly recommend Gilberts. Just loved our stay!

In ye olde days before AirBnb and Priceline's hotel bidding service, there was a bed and breakfast network where you could eschew a traditional hotel in favor of staying in a local home. The home were usually historic. The hosts lived on site, got up to make you breakfast and you actually chatted with the other visitors around the table rather than on your iPAD. Gilbert's offers this lost experience. ||||Jeanne and Don greeted us when we arrived at 7:30pm. They showed us our room, asked if we wanted anything and said they would be watching TV for another hour or so. We were welcomed to join them or do our own thing. We took showers and our heads hit the pillow by 9pm. Prior to leaving us, Jeanne worked out a breakfast time and menu with us for the next morning.||||Even though it was
