Ridiculously delicious cookies.. baked in that magical old school way, not too sweet or heavy, addictive to the point I can't let myself eat too many at once or I ruin my lunch/dinner and I even hide the container. In Manhattan at Zabars UWS you might be lucky enough to find the variety cookie containers in the fresh baked goods on the tall shelves, center isle across from the registers nut shop early before they sell out.

I just happen to be watching a documentary, "Ordinary Miracles: The Photo League's New York," and saw your old storefront - Bakery & Luncheonette. I thought I'd Google to find out if you are still around. I'm happy that you are even if you no longer serve directly. Thanks for replying to everyone in the reviews. It shows that quality service hasn't dimmed. More blessings to you in the future.

OWNER: PLEASE SEE PHOTO. It has your exact address. So that makes no sense! They NEVER answer their phone. Been calling for 3 years with no response. I need to know how many calories are in their individually wrapped muffins but I cannot find it anywhere. I am afraid their ingredients are wrong too and that they have not been nutritionally tested. Does anyone know how many calories are in their Raisin Oat Bran Muffins?

The classic, old school Jewish bakery on the Lower East Side has since closed. However, they merged and reopened in Brooklyn and now operate as a wholesale bakery. Customers can now order classic Jewish desserts such as hamantaschen and rugelach by the box.
