Enjoyed this place so much . The atmosphere was charming very friendly. Staff and owners were very welcoming. Fast service didn’t have to wait too long for reservations. Prices were great. The food was excellent. We had the smoked bratwurst with the potato pancakes, my husband had the pork schnitzel with the mushroom gravy, which was really rich and dark and tasty hunters schnitzel . Reminded me of how my mom used to make it so good potato pancakes with their cucumber salad that is a 10 star.
Delicious authentic German food, like Grandma used to make. The building is older, but functional. Indoor dining space is smaller than the patio area, tables and chairs are easily rearranged to accommodate different group sizes. Outdoor seating area has shade tarps and patio heaters, but you can hear road noise from the nearby highway. The fencing is tall, so it does feel private from the public. The staff was very friendly, they have a nice selection of beer to choose from, but be warned, don't order the "biggest size you have" unless you want 2 liters of beer in a glass shaped like a boot. I've been several times and have tried the schnitzel, meatballs, and bratwurst along with potato pancakes, potato croquettes, and Bavarian sauerkraut. It's all been great, but the schnitzel is my favo
Vanessa is so friendly and attentive, I like the way she greets guests and recognizes the frequently customer well. Food is good; salty to me which I dont blame on German food, technically these dishes made to pair with good beer. I will come back to try sausage later :p
I came down from Yosemite with a friend and we both had the Schnitzel Hunter style, with potato croquettes and the tuna noodle salad (you have to try this). ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The waitress, Vanessa, was wonderful. We also ordered four more dinners to-go (for some home bound friends) and a total of eight wonderful German beers (two at the restaurant and six to-go for later). The price of $165 (not including a $50 tip) was well worth it. It was like being at my Grandma Steinfadt's kitchen table. I'll be back.
Absolutely amazing! The Berlin Schnitzel is fantastic, the hollandaise sauce was so creamy and smooth. The potato pancakes are a must-try, either the regular or mini, both are crispy and well seasoned! We ate so much we waddled out of there. The staff are super nice and welcoming, food came out faster than expected. The atmosphere is very homey and cute. Honestly can't wait to come back here and try more things!
