George's Surf & Turf

Nice spot off the side of the highway for some delicious fried seafood. My wife and I tried the seafood platter that comes with clams shrimp haddock and bay scallops. Also comes with fries and onion rings. The food was really good although the downside of this platter is the extreme disproportionate amount of shrimp haddock and clams. It was largely an abundance of more bay scallops and fries than anything else. I’d definitely recommend getting the individual selections over the platter. Plenty of parking and space available for outdoor dining. The place is also cash only with an atm on site.

I got clam chowder, and the fish sandwich. The fish is SO fresh and SO good, the pieces that were outside the bun were flaking off into the container they put it in. I will get this at least half or more of the times I go since it is amazing. Also walked away with a quart and a half of clam chowder, and it does not disappoint. They are open just before spring until about Labor Day time frame. Best get out and enjoy the freshest seafood!

Came here for some sea food and was NOT disappointed!! The selection was good and the prices were even better. We ordered the sea food platter with sea scallops and we received a mound of food! We also ordered some chicken fingers with fries for the kids. Everything was good! The sea food had been thoroughly washed and barely felt any sand. The dipping sauces were perfect as well and properly portioned. After we all ate, we got some ice cream. They have quite a few selections of soft serve and hard ice cream. The banana boat we got was unbelievable! We especially loved the strawberry ice cream. The girls both got bubble gum soft serve and the portions were big! I highly recommend eating here if near by or at the local beach.

I look forward to taking our car for a drive up to George's Surf &Turf to enjoy the best fried seafood around. The batter that they use is the same one I remember from 20 plus years ago,and it's delicious that's why I am a loyal customer. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because of the size of the seafood the shrimp where almost to small to butterfly and the whole belly clams where tiny and the order had very few actual bellies it was more like a clam strip order than a whole belly order. If this had been my first time going to George's I am not sure that I would order the seafood again, but as I said I am a loyal customer and I know clam sized fluctuate so next time I will ask about clam size. Overall I do love George's and I would recommend it

Boyfriend and I shared the seafood platter and small ice cream cup and lime Rickey. It makes more sense for 2-3 people to order the platter and split it. It's around $40 and had clams, bay scallops, shrimp (disappointed only had 4 on plate), haddock, Cole slaw, fries & onion rings. The lime Rickey was $9!! So that's why we got one and split them both of us brought our own bottles of water. The small ice cream was a good size for two people (maple walnut). Outside atmosphere is great and family friendly.
