I stayed at the George Johnson house for a few days in September. Your host Charlotte’s 1913 Craftsman house in Ocean Park is an absolute gem. From the moment you arrive, Charlotte makes you feel genuinely welcome—her warmth and hospitality set the tone for a truly relaxing stay. She’s also a wonderful cook, and her homemade breakfast is a highlight you won’t want to miss.||The house itself is full of charm and character, beautifully maintained, period decorated, and perfectly situated, just a couple of blocks from the beach. If you are ever on the Long Beach Peninsula, I highly recommend you stay with Charlotte at the George Johnson House. The property is beautifully landscaped and the home is like a sea captain's residence with wonderful antiques and a rich, inviting atmosphere. But the real treasure is Charlotte herself. She is the consummate hostess, chef and baker. Everything, and I mean everything, she prepares is incredible! She is sensitive to give you peace and quiet if that is what you need, and she also loves to visit and make new friends. You may be wondering if she paid me to lavish her with praise, but believe me she did not; she earned it all by her hospitality. Check it out for yourself; I think you will agree.

Would highly recommend staying at the George Johnson House! Charlotte is the most gracious host who went above and beyond to ensure I had the best vacation. She even taught me how to go clamming and how to clean the clams! Charlotte knows all the hidden gems on the peninsula and is more than willing to share. She's also an amazing cook and baker! She made me a side of peach cobbler for breakfast! Although the house is gorgeous and so comfortable, Charlotte and her dogs make it such an inviting home. Falling asleep to the sound of ocean waves and waking up to the smell of the fresh ocean breeze was incredibly relaxing. Where do I begin? Charlotte is the friendliest! So welcoming and very informative about the area. The house is a gem in itself with so much history! The beds were SO comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious and the shower was so inviting after a few days camping. Breakfast in the morning was amazing, very filling and then on our way out we got an amazing little furry send off from the two pups! We’ll be back. Thank you so much Charlotte for an amazing stay!

We had a wonderful stay at The George Johnson House, a quaint bed and breakfast in Ocean Park. The host, Charlotte, was very welcoming and attentive to my needs. She had treats waiting for us upon our arrival. Charlotte provided great local stories, recommendations to a great restaurant, and in the morning cooked delicious breakfast. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, with a lovely view of the garden. The bed and breakfast is located in a quiet and peaceful area, but close enough to the town and attractions. I would highly recommend the George Johnson House to anyone looking for a relaxing and charming getaway.
