Would give 5 stars but price was a bit out of my range for the kind of food we’re getting. Still my wife enjoyed her steak and I was impressed with the grilled chicken sandwich. Interior is nice and our server Scarlett was great! Give it a try.

I decided to visit this location after the location in Clinton, MS permanently closed. The employees at this location were extremely nice and the service was excellent. When we walked in there were about 3 or 4 (4-6 year olds) young boys running up and down the long bench, yelling etc. The manager had asked the parents not to allow but the dad stated they would not listen to him. This was a Saturday around 7pm and it seems they had just came from a softball game. The manager allowed us to sit in rear of restaurant as far away as possible from the children. I refused to sit near them and was shocked when I saw the behavior in restaurant. The restaurant itself is great! I love the layout and the entertainment area outside which you must be 21 to enter. You can sit there to listen to music

If I could give each item a different rating, I would! We went for lunch after church on a Sunday. I’m from MS but now live in MI so I had to order the fried catfish, I miss it and it did not disappoint, it was delish! Fried to perfection, crispy outside and flaky inside, seasoned just right. So good! Fries were good and hush puppies were small but tasty. My problem is the Cole slaw. They need a new recipe. It was bland, watery and no taste. Try my 94-year old Mom’s recipe,…Her secret is grind cabbage in a food processor, grind onion, add mayo, salt & pepper and a bit of sugar if you like it more sweet. It’s good! The pork chops, fried shrimp and red snapper my other family got, was all good! Totally recommend Genna Benna’s!

Great lunch spot in downtown Brandon. Great variety; hot lunches, sandwiches, salads and more. They have a great Cuban with pulled pork, ham, Swiss, mustard and pickles! Daily lunches and sides are good “home cooking.” Salads are fresh and they have a great honey mustard. Large variety of menu items and have selections even for the pickiest eaters. Good food, good service and a good atmosphere.

Just Don't. Whole experience disappointing. No one at entrance managing seating, slow to be seated, slow to receive drinks, slow to take order, waitress apology before order was even taken. Ordered from menu, refused to cook item ordered without peppers. Allergic to green peppers. Apparently food is not prepared at order. Chief will not accommodate special requests thru waitess. Waitress trained to discourage requests. Selected different item. First bite was all fat no meat. Second bite skipped for same reason. Third bite was meat, not tasty. Grits not tasty. Manager came by to speak about rhe food. By this time completely nauseous. Offered to replace meal or provide desert. I ate, maybe 4 bites and paid full price for the meal.
