Gen Korean BBQ House

Don't waste your money. We ordered the premium $50 (a considerable price for a buffet) to "try the full experience," and it was the thinnest Wagyu beef I've ever eaten. I'm only giving the food two stars because the short ribs and skirt steak were good. I had to go straight to the bar to ask for a glass of water because all three waiters I asked for it forgot. The place is huge, and the bathrooms are unisex. I won't be back, and I don't recommend it.

This was our first time here and we even told our server it was our first time. He presented 8 different items right as we sat down and then had to ask what they all were again because it was rushed through. We were informed we have a 2 hour maximum time limit and can only order 4 appetizers and 4 meats at once. There isn't any reference of cook times for each type of meat. I am currently sitting at the table writing this review because we have nothing to cook at our table. Still haven't received all of our first order and waiting on our 2nd order of meat. I don't know what the delay was because the meat is raw, so they just need to put it on a plate for us to cook. It was taking a LONG time for our food to come out. I’ve been to several Korean BBQ restaurants and was excited to try this location. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to expectations. We visited on a Sunday with a group of four to celebrate a birthday. Despite the restaurant not being busy, we waited approximately 15 minutes to be seated. The restaurant itself is aesthetically pleasing, but that was one of the few positives. Once seated, our drink order (three waters and two Cokes) was taken. The Cokes arrived, but the waters did not. We had to flag down another server, and the waters didn’t arrive until nearly 30 minutes after we were seated. Wow ! what a great night!! I had the honor, to spend my birthday at Gen and it gonna be a night to remember. 🥳🥳🎂🧁🍰🍥🥮 First of all of all the thing I’m going to say first is the customer services. Every single worker was on point! The meats are freaking delicious! To be honest, I can’t really say much on the food because there was so much, just try all of them. 🥩🍖🍗🥓 Restaurants was clean and the restroom were clean!!! I always say if restrooms are clean, food taste good! 😊 good job 👏 Thank you Gen , I’ll be back

I want to start by saying that I am very familiar with Gen Korean BBQ House in various locations throughout several states. I was excited to come to this location and was very disappointed. I know that this is a corporate restaurant and I feel as if they are selling out, especially at this location with no AUTHENTIC Korean oversight whatsoever (Management, Cooks, Servers, etc). I'm saying this in respect to keeping the authenticity similar to other locations with bigger Korean populations (California, Washington, etc). I am Korean and I can say that this is NOT Korean food at all and I do not want El Pasoans who have no insight of authentic Korean food coming here thinking that this is it.
