Gator's Dockside Winter Springs

Been going here for a while. Mostly take out now. I know this and usually mess up. I want to share to help the store and the customers. When you order wings, tell them to sauce twice and ask for sauce on the side. No matter what style wing you order there is never enough and barely any sauce on the wings. I ordered 35 wings tonight. $65. They may have been near the sauce, may have been in the same room, but if they were tossed in sauce I’d be shocked. Very disappointing. Never happens when I’m there. If I sit at a table this isn’t an issue. Not sure what the deal is. Good size wings. Well cooked(grilled) but basically naked.

I ordered the gator tail, but was disappointed to find that there was very little actual gator meat and mostly crumbles of batter. The portion size was quite small for the price, which was disappointing given my expectations. $15 for pick up order.

The start of our service was questionable when the host forgot to send someone out to our table with menus. After a few minutes, I went inside to get our menus and she apologized and we just moved on with our service. Our server came out within a few minutes and she was stellar to say the least. Very friendly, constantly checked on us, she was on point. We ordered two appetizers (I missed the photo on that one, sorry!) but we ordered the buffalo cauliflower bites and the southwest eggrolls. The southwest eggrolls were a little crispy/dark but they still were very good. The buffalo cauliflower never lets us down we’ve ordered this before and it continues to be a favorite of ours. The waitress' were HORRIBLE and talking to each other badly about tables. They had attitudes when asked any questions. The French onion soup was nothing but onions, no broth and tasted like the smell of motor oil. The wings had NO sauce and when asked for sauce the waitress got an attitude and said she could get hot sauce. You could definitely tell they favored their locals. The pub chips are great!!!

A friend and I went on a Tues. evening to enjoy the wkly Bingo game. We both had chili which was very good and a small side salad. I gave the atmosphere a 4 because we had trouble hearing some of the Bingo calls partly due to being seated in the farthest room and partly due to normal restaurant noise. Altogether tho it was a pleasant evening.
