Gatesville Public Library

A nice little library downtown Gatesville with a separate children's section and computers. There is a genealogy room and a large number of stacks. It looks like there are a lot of interactive programs, including a Lego building event. I donated a few signed copies of my books.

I go at least once a week and always find a book to help my mind escape the reality of boring retirement. The staff is wonderful and always very helpful. One time, I was looking for some particular book titles which they didn't have. They found the books at other libraries and and had them transferred here for my use. Another time the Director ordered some books at my request and put them on the shelves. I always check the paperback book racks that are donated free by other patrons and the overstock or discontinued hardcover books they sell for only $1 in a bookcase near the computer tables. I'm very happy and grateful we have the Gayescille library.

The library is always clean, neat, and well stocked with a good selection of books. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The library has excellent children's and adult programs for a variety of interests.

Love, love, love this place!! They have super kind and helpful staff, and are very welcoming to children! Their book selection is wonderful. They also have really nice study rooms to do online work.

I love it here and go as often as possible! The staff are kind and always helpful. If they don't have a book that you're looking for they will find a library that does and will order it for you. During this pandemic they are the only place in town that actually enforces the mask rule, provides hand sanitizer all over the library and keeps the computers and tables clean and disinfected after every use.
