Gardenia Mediterranean Restaurant

Gardenia is easily one of my new favorite Mediterranean spots in the area. I visited with my wife, and everything from the food to the service was excellent. We started with the hummus and pita, which was a great surprise. I’m not usually a big hummus fan, but theirs has a really smooth, clean flavor. The pita was warm and soft, and the mix of black olives with olive oil on the side added a really nice touch. My wife ordered the lentil soup, and after trying a spoonful, I immediately regretted not ordering my own. It is easily one of the best lentil soups I’ve had — full of flavor, rich, comforting, and seasoned perfectly. Definitely top-two in my book. Absolutely wonderful food, and wonderful people! Very attentive service! Went in and got some of that great Mediterranean flavor I have been looking for. Menu had a mix of Turkish, Italian, Greek...some great stuff! The chicken shawarma and steak shawarma platters were phenomenal, as was the mozzarella falafel. My wife really enjoyed the Turkish coffee and my son loved his mango lemonade! Fresh food, great flavor, and above all, the most wonderful people! Warm, inviting place with delicious, well-seasoned food. We tried the chicken shawarma roll and falafel roll with rice and fries—everything was prepared with care and full of flavor. The mint lemonade was incredibly fresh and a must-try. The pistachio cheesecake was light, airy, and to die for. The couple who run this place have a lovely story—take a moment to chat with them. A wonderful Mediterranean addition to the Cumming area. Highly recommend.

We stopped here after church and was pleasantly surprised. We were warmly welcomed. The gentleman was very attentive to ensure we were taken care of and had everything we needed with each course. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. We will be going back again to try other foods on the menu.

We stopped here while traveling and were so glad we did! The food was fresh, flavorful, and reminded us of meals we had in Greece. Everything—from the shawarma platter and rice to the hummus and pita—was delicious. The service was wonderful too, friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend supporting this local gem!
