Gardendale Public Library

Had a great day with my toddler there. They offer a lot of programs for kids and adults. He had a good time playing. It was really warm in there, but it was fine. They have many toys and things to do for children.

I got some stuff printed off and it was great. They were all kind! It looks much bigger when I was a kid

The Gardendale library is a favorite and a fixture for my family. We typically visit weekly and enjoy reading the books in the library and at home! The books are well maintained and in good shape. The environment is very fun and the library is well organized.

I'm certain mine is not typical. I needed help finding books for my grandson who is home schooled. In all fairness to the library , last time I did research for books. I used the Dewey system. That probably explains a great deal. However I am decent with a computer. New to this library, not familiar with practices, I asked for help. I got directions to where the kids section was. I had to ask someone who was there for herself for assistance. She gladly did. Needing further information, I went back to the front desk earnestly requesting help. Someone did. It went well after that. I do still need to learn 'how' to look for myself in children's books, but I'm sure I will with time and patience.

Pleasant librarians. Clean place, well organized. They will do their best to reserve any patron request.
