Gappy's Pizza

Two guys walk into Gappy's Pizza in Carmel sometime in the summer of 2025 and order a normal large pizza. At the register: two female employees take the order. The pizza comes out heart-shaped, handed over by the guy cooking (Mexican dude in the back) with what felt like a smirk—because apparently two male friends sharing a table means we must be a couple. We specifically asked for a standard round pie. No jokes, no special requests. They still did it anyway. That's not harmless fun. That's deliberate homophobic harassment—using our food to mock what they assumed was our sexuality. They looked at two straight men hanging out and decided it was okay to turn our order into a bigoted "joke." In 2025/2026, staff humiliating customers like this isn't banter. Went in for a slice of pizza while my dad filled up his car across the street. Was immediately greeted by Gappy. Ended up hanging out for longer than planned. Pizza was great — crispy crust on both Sicilian and regular slice — and the people elevated the short time I spent there even more. Strongly recommend for a good time and good food.

The staff here are wonderful. We ended up stopping here after breaking down & they went above & beyond to support. Incredibly generous people. Thank you again! & my daughter loved the pizza!!

A night out with friend was an excellent experience as we watched our waitress Hailey keep us well served for food and beverage and always with a smile. The food is mediocre but plentiful. Portions are large and good value. BUT we will be back just because the service this person gave us was memorable!

Gappys has become our go to stop, when heading home from trips! Ordered a cheese Sicilian, it was amazing! Cannolis are amazing as well. Great employees, fast service!
