What an incredible dining experience at Ganges! The food was absolutely wonderful — beautifully presented, full of flavor, and a perfect balance of traditional Indian cuisine with a modern touch. Every dish we ordered was thoughtfully prepared and truly memorable. Special hats off to our waitress Anjali — she was outstanding. She took the time to explain each dish in detail, made great recommendations, and ensured we felt comfortable and taken care of throughout the entire meal. Her knowledge, warmth, and professionalism elevated the experience even more. From the food to the service to the ambiance, Ganges exceeded expectations. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional Indian cuisine in Sarasota.

Wonderful upscale modern Indian cuisine. The menu options were thoughtful and delicious. Live music filtering through from the bar area was pleasant both in quality and volume. Best of all was the service. Our server Anjali provided one of the best service experiences we have had in years. She was knowledgeable, funny and very professional with her table management. Will definitely be returning.

Excellent Indian food. The bar area in front had a band playing and a good sized crowd. The restaurant is simply appointed and quiet. Perfect for conversation. We started with assorted pappadam and onion naan. Both good, but the naan is truly memorable. The entrees are upscale Indian and made with creativity. I loved the palak paneer lasagna. So flavorful. Presentation was lovely. Waitstaff was professional and helpful. We will definitely return.

Everything was delicious! I am glad they took over the empty building and redid it. The decor was simple and relaxing with pictures of Indian women cooking on the walls. The music was easy on the ears and did not hinder conversations. I got the papadams as appetizer to share with 3 different dips that were freshly made. The seabass was perfectly cooked in a banana leaf and spices were well balanced. We had a dessert to share that was refreshing and light. : the saffron rasmali cheese cake, also a delight for the eyes. Service was attentive but not overwhelming.

The setting is clean and simple in an older shopping center away from the crowds. The service was friendly but they seemed rushed and stressed. We were seated late and given the wrong food. The Biryanis were delicious and all the food had lots of flavor. The libations were good.
