The Thai Basil Gai was smackin' with the two extra sauces I ordered with it. It was easy to order through the kiosk and the order came fairly quickly. The atmosphere inside felt kinda dark and the human interaction at the counter seemed robotic.
GAI Chicken & Rice is hands down my go-to spot for amazing chicken sandwiches whenever I’m in SF! These sandwiches are some of the best I’ve had—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. They can definitely get a little messy, but trust me, they are so worth it. The combination of tender chicken with their delicious sauces and toppings is unbeatable. I’ve also tried other dishes from the menu, and everything I’ve had is super tasty. Whether you’re in the mood for something spicy, crispy, or savory, GAI has you covered with a variety of flavorful options. The chicken is always fresh, and you can tell they put a lot of care into every dish. If you’re in the mood for a satisfying, delicious meal that packs a punch of flavor, I highly recommend stopping by GAI Chicken & Rice.
This is a great place to dine in and order in. When we've eaten at the restaurant the staff is always very nice and always accommodates my boss who is in a wheelchair. We order the same meals for delivery and I can honestly say that the meals delivered are exactly like how we order them when we dine in. Delicious and the same generous portions.
Decent portion sizes, delicious sauces, and the second time ordering take-out from here. Decided to try the wings (no complaints) and tried the Gai Sando, but it’s pretty heavy (butter isn’t needed on the bun IMO and the chicken was on the saltier side). Not sure if we’ll be ordering the Sando again, but everything else was great.
This place nails it. Very happy to have this as an option in town! Juicy chicken, really nice rice, the half salad half rice option is a nice way to go. They dress up the cabbage salad with green onions, crispy garlic, carrots, and a nice ginger dressing that comes on the side. The Thai soy sauce is perfect, the Hainan sauce is chunky and adds that earthy, herby flavor to the chicken. Finally, a place that does everything right!! The chicken sandwich is also worth getting. Thick piece of chicken, crispy breading, juicy dark meat chicken. The pickles add a nice bite, and the coleslaw that comes on the side is well dressed, and not an after thought. I added some Hainan sauce to it to make it more hainanese. This place is legit, I highly recommend it, and I hope they stick around fore
