Fujiya Ramen & Yakitori

Charcoal yakitori here is really good. So many options, we just went with the Mix Yakitori Platter — everything was tasty. Sakura pork tastes way better than regular supermarket stuff, not greasy at all. Even the grilled peppers were awesome. Volcano Ramen had a rich broth, chashu was solid. Eel Rice Bowl was a good portion for the price. Everything felt super fresh. Open late on weekends and drinks are BOGO after 10 — perfect spot to chill and grab some skewers at night.

I had a great experience at Fujiya. The yakitori was flavorful and well-grilled, clearly made with care, and paired perfectly with their drinks. One of the biggest highlights is the late-night happy hour after 10 PM, when alcoholic beverages are discounted—such a great deal and excellent value for the quality you’re getting. Their ramen is also very solid: rich broth, satisfying noodles, and comforting in the best way. It’s the kind of place where you can come for skewers and drinks but still leave happily full from a bowl of ramen. The interior really stands out too. The Japanese-style decor creates a calm, authentic atmosphere that genuinely feels like dining in Tokyo rather than Los Angeles. Didn’t expect much at first, but the food turned out really good. The seafood grill was super fresh with no fishy smell at all. We ordered a lot and still only spent about $30 per person. Great value with lots of options, ramen, rice bowls, yakitori, and late-night bites. Would definitely come back.

This is a nice find in Arcadia if you’re looking for something more satisfying than a typical lunch. It’s not easy to find yakitori during lunchtime, and even harder to find ones grilled over real charcoal—but this place actually does both ramen and charcoal-grilled yakitori at lunch, which already sets it apart. I’ve tried the Fujiya Chashu Ramen and the Volcano Ramen, and both are dependable choices. The chashu is made from sakura pork, nicely seared and braised with a good balance of lean and fat. The broth is rich but not heavy, smooth and easy to drink. If you prefer something comforting and mild, go with the Fujiya; if you like spice, the Volcano has depth without being overwhelming. The yakitori is the highlight. Everything is grilled over charcoal, and you can smell the smokiness

Such a delightful atmosphere and delicious food! I came by to get some small bites but ended up ordering more than originally planned because what I tried was so incredibly good. Okra appetizer is prepared exactly like you'd get it in Japan. Shishito peppers had the perfect flavor. Chashu buns and pork belly with asparagus are top tier. The owner lived in Japan for over a decade and is fluent in Mandarin, Japanese, and English! Had a wonderful time chatting with her and learning more about her background. Please give this place a chance - you won't regret it!
