Fuji Japanese Steakhouse

We came here twice and were always paired with other random couples/families with kids to ensure we had a full table (which is good in theory because that means more laughs). Unfortunately, both times our chef didn’t really perform or make jokes as we anticipate for a hibachi place like this. Other table’s seemed to be laughing and having a blast but maybe we just drew the unlucky chef both times. Ours just focused on spinning his knife and cooking things fast without much talking. The food is good- I think it’s difficult to not make hibachi good. What sets Fuji apart from other Hibachi restaurants is their YumYum sauce. The staff and regular customers swear by it. I hate to give this place such a low rating but I would say three different bad experiences with this restaurant justifies this rating. The first time I went, I ordered the chicken Pad Thai and the sauce was so odd and funky. I would say it might just be a personal preference but I love the chicken Pad Thai from the IF location and order it all the time from there. The second time I ordered the Tuna Tataki, and let's just say my stomach wasn't doing too well the following hours. What finally has me writing this review was our service tonight. My chicken fried rice was mediocre at best. Super bland. My boyfriend got the Hibachi Chicken with double rice, but somehow got significantly less food than I did yet my meal was 7 dollars cheaper?! Visited here for dinner while staying with family in the area. Service was very friendly. We decided to dine at the hibachi grill. Our hibachi chef was engaging. I opted for the hibachi chicken which was quite good, a little too much oil for my taste but still yummy. Sushi and sashimi was fresh and quite a large portion.

It was great they were so nice funny and great to me and my sister. They sang happy birthday and we're nice to us. I love coming here. Great food. Great service. Great people. Keep up the good work
