Other reviews mentioning there’s just one guy running the whole operation here- and I can confirm, that’s an important detail to understand before visiting Fu Kee Express. I called in my order on a Saturday night. The first call went unanswered, but my second attempt a few minutes later got through. The owner took my order and even agreed to make my General Tso’s Chicken “SUPER” spicy. He told me it’d be ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived, I wasn’t totally sure how things worked. The front door opens into a small waiting area (with a sign asking you not to wait inside), and the rest of the restaurant is blocked off with tables. I must say, “HANDS DOWN” coming from UP NORTH to NC the Chinese food is HORRIBLE HERE! This establishment is TAKE OUT ONLY! The owner has one hell of a sense of humor. He’s so funny. Be patient, patience is a virtue! He is by his lonesome! If you call and he doesn’t answer chances are he’s cheffing it up, getting orders together, processing payments and or possibly just not answering. I asked him for “Fried Chicken Wings” he jokingly said, “NO CHICKEN WINGS HERE GO TO BON CHON”! I ordered the Broccoli and Garlic sauce with White Rice or with Fried Rice it’s “CHEFS KISS”. He advised my order will be ready in 15 minutes and it was. When my order was ready, he said, “My Broccoli and Garlic Sauce is the “BEST”! He went viral and didn’t want to, he rather not be busy! This place is 10 out of 10

Food was delicious but pricey. I ordered a house special lo mein and it was about $18. The order took over 30 mins on a Saturday for just lo mein. The owner is nice and personable but he is the only one working there so he's answering phones and cooking. There is no other worker. You do have to preorder before you come. This is take out only. I would come again but only when I know I have a lot of time to wait for my food.

I have not ate chinese in a while because all the restaurants i’ve tried can never get it right, it’s either super chewy or overcooked but I saw this place on TikTok and saw all the good reviews so gave it a try. I have been under a rock!!! This is probably some of the best Sesame Chicken i’ve had in a longggg time. Yeah there is a little wait if you don’t call ahead but it was 100% worth it. I will definitely be back! Owner is super funny and speedy too! 100/100

I love this place! No online ordering or delivery service, no sit down inside. Over the phone orders only, like the old days. Because of that, it feels like a lucky day when I call and the owner picks up my call. As you read from others, it’s only him. No other staff. So that’s a win before I even get my food. Then, he always gives me a hard time (which makes me laugh) when I ask for the spiciest General Tso’s Chicken he makes saying not to complain about the spice. I love hot food, and it’s just right for me. If it’s too hot for you, and you asked for it? Well that’s on you, not him. Couldn’t agree more. Prices are right on par with others, but the food is just… better! Love to support this man and feel lucky to get the opportunity to when I order. Please be kind to him.
