Tatiana was not only a superb waitress, but managed the floor hosting and held down the kitchen cooking while she was severely understaffed. To say she was a woman of many hats would be an accurate statement. The wine was spectacular, and the food was second to none, specifically the eggplant. This is your place to go for delicious food and wine in southie.

We just move to the neighborhood and were very excited about trying this place. They have a sign outside saying “wine flights $25”. We ordered a few appetizers and an entree salad. The waiter asked me if I wanted my salmon cake appetizer to come with the entree and I said that either way would work. When the check came, wine flights were $30 (??) and my salmon cakes were charged as an entree. We asked and were told it was his first shift and “that was the price and I asked the cakes to came with the entrees”. We decide to pay without fighting it and then realized they charged an additional 5% for paying with credit card we were not told about. Another waiter came when saw us confused and agreed that there were mistakes on the check but our waiter REFUSED to consider it. We paid and left,

The waiters were very friendly and welcoming! The wine was also good. We didn’t really like the food, I didn’t finish my beef stroganoff. The furniture was quite outdated. Overall, we felt like the place was overpriced for what it offers. We were also surprised to learn about the credit card surcharge on the final bill. We don’t remember the last time we’ve encountered such policy.

I walk by this place every day and wonder why no one is in here, I assumed it was bad. We finally stopped by to try it and all I can say is I don't understand why it’s not packed like every other place on W Broadway. The food was so good and what made the experince incredible was the warmth and hospitality from who I can only assume was the owner. She was great, and it felt like I was a friend having a meal at her home. Great wine recommendations and helpful tips on food. We will definitely be coming back!

If you want the best Brie and Sangria come to Fromage in Southie. Tatiana deserves more than a 5 star review.
