I’m surprised I hadn’t discovered FRIEDA before knowing they’re approaching their 10th anniversary. The seasonal menu is really nice — omelettes and quiches are great. The pastries are made fresh in house. The almond chocolate croissant was almost like eating dessert. The space also features art and handicrafts from regional artists, with rotating pieces on the walls available for sale. It’s a pleasant spot to eat and browse. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend! ⸻

We loved Frieda so much that we went three days in a row for breakfast—and on the third day, I even woke up early to go before catching my flight! The food is world-class, the staff is world-class, and the atmosphere is just as special. It’s rare to find a place that nails both food and ambiance, but Frieda does it effortlessly. Every visit felt like a delight, and I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Philly. Highly recommend!

I would expect more flakiness like a butter croissant but it was ok. The salad - I had the goat cheese and raw beet salad. Fresh and crispy however the dressing was overpowering citrus-y and ruined the experience for me. I should have tried it first before I dumped it all on the salad. So if you do get that salad, try the dressing first and then dress your salad accordingly. The service was good and friendly. My food was ready in a timely manner and I had it to go, which they ha
