French Quarter Mansion

I want to leave a balanced and honest review, especially as someone who works professionally in hospitality and manages a boutique hotel myself. There were several things I genuinely liked about this property, but there was also a serious safety issue and a concerning communication experience that future guests should be aware of. The positives: the bathrooms are beautiful—the use of real marble is rare for a property in this price range and feels luxurious. Also loved that our room was very spacious for a French Quarter stay. Before booking, I was concerned about the noise given how busy the neighborhood is, but the rooms were very quiet at night! Booked this room through Airbnb. Worst travel experience I have ever had. The room was initially cute and in a good location. On day 2 we found roaches. We messaged the host and were berated. We wanted to leave and stay somewhere else but the host suddenly said we had broken rules, called us liars, lied and said we had broken rules, then refused to stop messaging me after repeatedly asking him to stop. We sent pictures of the roaches; asked for a refund for the nights we had not spent there. He refused and even Airbnb said he was breaking policy and refunded us the money for unspent nights. I would NEVER stay here again.

I recently stayed at the French Quarter Mansion in New Orleans and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The bathroom setup was also poorly designed — the shower is very small, and the toilet is positioned right next to it, so it gets soaked every time someone showers. On top of that, the overall cleanliness of the property was not up to standard. The place felt dirty and not properly maintained, which made the stay even more unpleasant. Overall, I would not recommend staying here based on my experience.

I am one to rarely write a bad review but I felt it was my civic duty to have potential vacationers beware of what they are getting themselves into. Before I get into the issues I would like to preface that we are extremely adventurous people , we travel all over the world together including third world countries and can endure and experience a lot. And I have to say the one great thing about this place was the location. It was so close to everything . The building outside even had a very old French 1700 charm to it. Now onto the issues … starting with customer service . I emailed , left voicemails even text to the host a week -2 weeks in advance with very late responses and vague replies if I ever got one at all. We finally arrive the day of our check in date and the door is locked .

This Airbnb is HORRIBLE. We rented this unit foe the weekend and found bedbugs in both beds. There were 6 air mattresses that the host had in the closets. We left soon as we found the bedbug. There was NO hot water, and they had one space heater for the entire unit. We asked for a refund because we didn't even get to unpack and enjoy our weekend. The host lied and stated we was loud and have to be put out of the Airbnb which was a lie. No one came to put us out we vacated the premises soon as we saw the bugs. I even got pictures. This is very unprofessional, and I WILL GO ABOVE AND BEYOND TO GET MY REFUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
