Customer Reviews
I love everything about French Quarter! The food and drinks were great, the service was quick & efficient. Every dish i tried was perfectly seasoned with great, authentic flavor. I'd definitely recommend giving them a try. They do get busy so it's best to make a reservation or you could try your luck with bar seating. 20/10 strongly recommend you try them.
My main reason for the two-star review is because of the service. The restaurant was not busy by any means when my party of 2 was there. The food came out really quick which brings to question, how fresh is the food? How far in advance is this food being prepared? We were all set with our entrees and had our plates in front of us for the longest time. Our waitress was doing everything else (cleaning a table, resetting it, sweeping, rolling silverware???) but asking us if we were all set. One of the bussers noticed we were looking for her and it seemed he told her that we were all set. I wanted to try the beignets but I was ready to leave! Fried shrimp for the appetizer was okay. I got the gumbo which I thought that the sausage and chicken were cooked good but the broth was a little too sal
We needed to eat before a show at the Wilbur theater and this restaurant did not disappoint. Service was attentive at the bar and our food came out at record speed. Probably less than 10 minutes after we ordered. The place had a nice atmosphere and was quite busy on a Saturday night. Definitely get a reservation! The only con was that to use the bathroom you must take an elevator. A minor inconvenience
Native Louisianan here (born and bred in Baton Rouge). This place is authentic. The food has the perfect balance of spice, fat, savory, and texture. The drinks are STRONG and creative. I also enjoyed the laid-back ambience. I really felt like I was in New Orleans. Except everything was 3 times as expensive… not their fault, though, that’s just Boston! I had the boozy vieux-carré cocktail (a new orleans classic). For food my friends and I all shared the fried oysters, fried okra, and crab cake toast for appetizers, and the crawfish étouffee, red beans and rice, and shrimp with grits for the entrees. Beignets for dessert. So good, definitely bringing more friends back.
It's NOLA in Boston! Was skeptical of the proposition but this place delivers authentic fare with all the classics on offer, plus cocktails. NOLA music and FQ decor, from gold foil ceiling to fleur de lis in the tile floor. Great, friendly service.
