The proprietess was friendly enough, when she wasn't on the phone it talking to her friend who came in. The "panini" was large and pretty good, but it was just a grilled sandwich. I had the turkey provolone (pictured) and my mother had the white pizza. Beverages and chips are self-serve. And the antiques are expensive!

I thought I had already rated this place, but this is one of our favorite central mass lunch spots and place to shop for some unique New England finds. The owner and staff are very friendly and very authentic. If they have the corned beef Ruben as a special I highly recommend it.

If you are looking for a small, local restaurant serving soups and sandwiches, I would highly recommend this place. We came here for lunch and ordered cups of their soup of the day, corn chowder, a grilled ham and cheese sandwich, and a BLT. The corn chowder came out with a large square of cornbread. The chowder was classic and delicious, as was the cornbread! The sandwiches were wonderful also. This restaurant stays with the basics and makes them wonderfully. The cook managed to grill the ham and cheese sandwich perfectly, melting the cheese without blackening the bread. We will be coming again!

We happened to be driving by and decided to stop and stretch our legs since we were already about a hour driving. We were so happy we did, this place has that mom and pop feel that is lacking in many of our communities. The two ladies that were attending the grill were more that welcoming. To say this place feels like a blast from the past in an understatement. From the staff to the food to the thousands of items they have I'm sure those of us who value small town hospitality will not be disappointed. I will say what items they had I urged you reading my comment to stop in sometime. You won't be disappointed!

Stopped by on a fluke. So happy I did. Really cool antique/home items store/cafe’. I ordered a turkey sandwich to go that was awesome. Very fresh and great bread. Girl who made it was really nice and made a perfect sandwich.
