I walked in on my way to another restaurant nearby, and was greeted by two nice gentlemen who answered all my questions, and even let me sample foods off the menu until I was ready to make my order. I ordered the turkey wings, jollof rice, and collard greens with plantain. The plantain was less sweet than I am used to having it, but I liked that and the fact that it wasn’t greasy (nothing I tried was). My favorite thing I sampled was the cassava leaf dish, which had some kind of meat and seemed like a stew. I’ll definitely be back to try the peanut stew when they have it. Everything was really good and felt homemade, which is so rare. Very welcoming! Glad this is in the neighborhood!

Found a new go to spot for when I'm in the area. The food was delicious and had alot of flavor. I will definitely be back. Mac n cheese was perfect and the Jerk chicken with Jollof rice was great. Staff was also great. Thank you Shak.

The peanut butter stew is EVERYTHING! And normally I don’t like turkey wings, but the turkey wings at Freetown are the exception! I cleaned the turkey wing down to the bone!

Food is 10 out of 10, simply amazing! You must try the cassava leaves with rice and egusi with fufu, very authentic very tasty, highly recommend! Folks there are very friendly and pleasant My new favorite spot 🇸🇱 ❤️ 🇸🇱
