Freedom House Bed & Breakfast

We had a lovely time staying at FreedomHouse. Our room was spacious, clean, and reasonable for our short stay. We had plenty of Hot water, a bed with lovely sheets and very comfortable. Liz’ breakfast is not to be missed filling and delicious.

We fully enjoyed our restful stay at Freedom House. This beautiful B+B is invitingly updated. The 1BR apartment is immaculately clean, spacious, + cheerily furnished. While we came for very comfortable beds + delicious breakfasts, we were also delighted by other hospitable amenities. Housemade cookies, good coffee, cozy fire pit, + relaxing porch swing reflect artful attention to detail by the wonderful proprietors, who are welcoming yet unobtrusive. So happy we bought one of their hand-painted river rocks to take home. (If only we’d had room to purchase a few houseplants too!) Favorite outing was beach + boat rental at lovely Sebec Lake ~10 minutes’ drive north. Highly recommend!

The Freedom House B&B in Dover-Foxcroft is a wonderfully comfy and cozy place to stay. The home is beautifully appointed, and our room had every amenity we could have hoped for. The bed was exceptionally comfortable—truly luxurious.||What made the stay even more special were the proprietors, Mike and Elizabeth, who were incredibly kind and welcoming. Their hospitality immediately made us feel at home.||Be sure to include breakfast with your stay—it’s hearty, delicious, and the perfect start to the day!

Who knew I’d be a repeat customer!? I work in the Dover-Foxcroft area at least a couple times a year and have had the pleasure of staying in two different rooms in the cottage. Both rooms were just great. Toasty warm in the dead of winter and cool & comfy in the heat of the summer. With all the creature comforts you could ask for. Elizabeth and Mike are super accommodating hosts & cooks and my stays there could not have been better. I couldn’t recommend their B&B more. You won’t be disappointed staying at Freedom House B&B 😊

I have had the privilege of staying at this B&B in summer, fall and winter and the experience was exceptional each time. The rooms pass the white glove cleanliness test with flying colors, the beds are very comfortable and each room and apartment space has its own unique decor and character. It is a great place to stay to slow down, relax and enjoy the great outdoors. The spacious front porch with porch swing and Adirondack chairs and the fire pit around back are extra special treats. The breakfasts are hearty, delicious and freshly homemade by the very friendly proprietors. This B&B is a gem!
