⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fred’s Garage – Winnetka We had a nice dinner at Fred’s Garage — the atmosphere is warm and relaxed, and the service was great. We tried the cheesesteak, beet salad with poke tuna, and chicken wrap. The poke salad wasn’t quite what I expected, but overall the food was good. The cheesesteak was definitely the highlight — juicy, cheesy, and satisfying. A great casual spot for dinner in Winnetka!

Fred’s Garage is an absolute gem of the North Shore. On-site owner Cary strives to keeps this establishment tip-top in terms of food, music, service, and entertainment. Inside they have plenty of seating and a beautiful white-top bar, and outside they have one of the nicest situated patios in the Chicago suburbs. You can either sit in the shade or the direct sun, and there’s never wait as servers are always out and about. The menu has a ton of great food and the bar a wide selection of beers and spirits. The bartenders are phenomenal and the service is friendly and consistent. And every summer, you can look forward to a growing weekly outdoor music festival every Wednesday. Fred’s is always my first go to whether in the summer or winter. I highly recommend it for any age, and any family

We had a great time. The place was packed. It was noisy and super casual on a beautiful summer weekend. There was a waiting line from 5pm until we left at 6:30. The food was good and the service was exceptional. Thank you.

Fred’s Garage is a great stop with a fantastic outdoor patio and a fun interior design. The food is really good - we had the salmon burger, the griddle burger (very tasty!!) and the sweet Chili chicken tenders. Everything was really good. The reason for the 4 stars is the quality of the service - our waiter was a tad bit inattentive and not the friendliest, but he got the job done. The place was packed on a Monday night so the staff did have their plates full (pun!). Will definitely be back for the great food and atmosphere!
