Customer Reviews
Fred‘s is an amazing place. We went there first time today for breakfast after hitting Eastern Market. Were lucky to get a table with no wait. The service folks were very friendly and supportive. But most importantly - all the food we had was delicious! We had different kinds of sourdough breads, an açaí bowl and smoothies, all simple but creative, nicely seasoned and presented. Definitely will come back!
Crispy Brussel sprouts are to die for! Excellent side dish. We also had the breakfast burrito, very nice, and had the ricotta toast, was okay. Staff are nice and friendly and nice atmosphere. Would visit again and would recommend, especially for the crispy brussel sprouts!
Fred's has quietly become our Sunday ritual after the gym and our new go to brunch spot. It is tucked into a row of newer shops off Gratiot by Eastern Market, with big front windows that flood the space with light. You order at the counter, grab a seat, and food just appears at your table. Service is consistently kind and the flow works really well. My usual is the Kale and Brussel Sprout Salad with grilled chicken (4.5/5). The dried cranberries, Parmesan, and light sweet vinaigrette hit that sweet/salty/tangy mix and play nicely with the chunky brussel sprouts and kale. The chicken can be a touch dry at times, but it is always well seasoned. The Egg Sandwich (4/5) is a very solid breakfast sandwich. The eggs are always cooked perfectly soft, and with avocado, cheddar, and mayo on a chal
This place is legit. Amazing vibe. Amazing ambiance. Amazing team. Easy to get into. Great take-out service. So glad it exists. Tallow fries…. Swoon. Got the breakfast burrito Acai bowl.
A fantastic new spot that recently opened. The food is healthy and delicious, the atmosphere is great, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I particularly enjoyed their beet salad, which was packed with hummus, greens, and fresh berries. Their and coconut curry soup is a galore of flavors and spices. I'm already a big fan!
