Customer Reviews
Unfortunately I would give this library 0 stars. They charged me a late fine back in 2023, when a car crashed into their building they weren't accepting any books. I kept calling and finally found that I could return it to Roseville. They refused to waive a fine from 2 years ago that they never informed me of (no calls, emails, or a snail mail letter... nothing in 2 years!) And they refused to waive a fine that was caused by them.... THEY HAVE HAD THEY BOOK FOR 2 YEARS. If they'd rather have me giving bad reviews and boycotting them, then that's the way they do business's.... and it should tell you something about their standards of business. And no, that lady on the phone is not cool. She should've done the right thing. But apparently that 5 bucks is going in her pocket because she
I had to switch from my Shelby Township card to Fraser upon moving, and I wish I didn’t. On the plus side, the library staff is kind and the library is bigger than I expected considering its location in a relatively small city for Metro Detroit. It's also part of the Suburban Co-Op, which is nice. But unlike many libraries in the Suburban Co-Op, Fraser does not include access to Hoopla with its excellent collection of books to borrow. I was saddened to find this out as that’s my main source of reading material, and I was told upon switching that it shouldn’t affect those electronic accounts.
Though the library remains closed due to pandemic conditions their staff have been wonderful and fully accommodating on the phone and during my back door masked book request pickups. Times like this must be handled with humor and patience. The library is accomplishing this with grace as well. Thanks to everyone. Can't wait to enter their hallowed doors sooner than later!
This library is part of a larger cooperative of libraries that all share materials, and it has been rare to not find what I am looking for. The range of materials available is actually pretty impressive. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Like any local library, they are doing the best they can with what they have and the funding they receive. They offer many important services and are a pillar in the community. 5 out of 5 stars.
It's a smaller library, and I can't speak to the book selection, but I stopped by because I left my laptop two hours away and had some work to do before my friend got off work nearby. It was $1 to use the computer/internet for however long I wanted, though I had to ask them to extend my session every hour, which was fine! The staff was so nice too. Would recommend.
