Francesco's Ristorante and Gourmet Pizzeria

I grew up in Shenandoah and have fond memories of my mother treating us to Francesco’s. I moved away but I always chased the taste of their perfectly greasy pizza. For years I bragged to my husband about how amazing the pizza was (chicken parmigiana hoagie, paninis, everything really). We moved back to PA in 2024 and yesterday I finally got him to take a ride to good ole Shenandoah for my FAVORITE pizza. We were greeted by a pleasant woman - bless her because she was running her butt off. When our pizza arrived at our table, I could barely contain my excitement!! My husband took his first bite and looked at me with a big grin and said it was the best pizza he had since he was a kid (he’s 64). The grease dripped off the slice and he dipped his crust in it. Great atmosphere and friendly service that makes you feel at home. I took my mom for her birthday, I had the Veal Saltimbocca that came with a soup or salad with a side. i got linguine on a side dish with and a Cesar salad to start. All were very good and highly recommended! I ended with a piece of limoncello cake. delicious! If you want authentic Italian American this is the spot.

We came in on a Saturday at 3pm and were the only ones eating. I had the calamari with linguine and my wife had rigatoni bolognese with a side of meatballs. Food was absolutely incredible! I cannot say enough about it. The calamari was so tender and cooked perfectly. Hat is off to the chef! Such a great Italian restaurant! We will be back soon!

Went here for my mom’s birthday and was pleasantly surprised. The appetizer (fried calamari) was excellent. I ordered the chicken parmigiana with spaghetti. The chicken was excellent and so so so tasteful. The triple chocolate cake was delicious and the cannoli cake was out of this world. The waitress was extremely kind, helpful and attentive, unfortunately I did not catch her name. Well worth the trip if you’re around.

Went to a birthday party for a 70 year old friend. Food and service was fabulous. Atmosphere was medium to loud, but all of us were upstairs in banquet room. Very professional personnel work here.
