Foxglove Retreat

My husband & I chose Foxglove Retreat to spend my 30th birthday. We absolutely loved our stay here. Baker was an amazing host and provided many recommendations for nearby restaurants and wineries. We enjoyed the beautiful view from our room, the peaceful scenery and the pool! We would definitely come back.

Baker the owner of this rental has zero customer service skills whatsoever. I booked his location on Airbnb for the weekend of November 8th. Unfortunately I had a medical emergency the weekend before and had to cancel the reservation. I knew I would be liable for half of it as I canceled after the cutoff date. I sent Baker a very respectful text the day before our reservation which he never responded to. I followed up on the Airbnb platform several days later with another message that I can see he read and again no response. It’s truly a shame that this is how he does business and is completely disrespectful to potential future customers. In closing I would say that I would never consider renting from him in the future nor would I recommend it to anyone else. And again to reiterate I was o

Amazing! Full spacious suite with cathredral ceilings, full kitchen, and sitting area that goes out to a balcony overlooking the beautiful view. Completely quiet. You enter through a covered walkway that separates the retreat from the main house through its own entrance...so if you are looking at the picture of the house, the whole left side is the retreat. Really great kitchen if you want to cook...we could only take one night away from our kids, but I think this would be perfect for a multinight stay to go explore the vineyards, breweries, and nature. Uber does come here as well.

I love this special spot on the top ridge of Blue Ridge Mountain, overlooking the Shenandoah Valley. The main building has the look of unique and charming hunting lodge. The Retreat is an adjoining efficiency apartment that has all the conveniences and overlooks the Pool and the Valley. Winchester, VA lies of in the distance, about 20 miles away. Further across the Valley lie the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and West Virginia, of which Foxglove has a stellar view. Bring you binocs! Great pool. It's old, but well maintained, and filled with Blue Ridge Mountain springwater pulled from deep within the granite of the Mountain.

Had a lovely weekend here! Views are hard to beat. Would definitely stay here again, my kiddo loved the pool!
