Customer Reviews
A classic building with a great deli menu and homemade desserts. We tried the gourmet cheese spread and it was delicious. The muffuletta had chunky olives instead of a traditional schmear on soft bread. The Rueben had plenty of sliced beef & good pumpernickel. Friendly staff, plentiful seating, and a good menu will welcome us back next time we’re in the area
What a gem! Fossati’s Delicatessen is a must-stop! Not only was the staff immensely friendly, but so were the customers — even sharing tips on where to eat once we made it to Seadrift! I had the Cuban sandwich, served warm on a panini-style bread with three kinds of meat and mustard. Paired with a fresh garden salad, it was absolutely delicious. My friends ordered the Napoleon and Katy’s Platter — both were equally amazing. The atmosphere is full of charm, and with 140 years of the same family running it, you can feel the history. It’s the oldest deli in Texas, and you can tell they take pride in everything they serve. Prices were reasonable, the vibe was unforgettable, and while we had to pass on dessert this time, we’re already planning a return visit on the way home. Highly recommend
A whole vibe!!! The history alone is worth the visit. I had a chicken salad pita....super delicious! I especially liked that the pita was warm and held shape.
Delicious food, especially the chicken salad on garlic butter toasted bread! Excellent customer service and a great history. If you're got the time, ask the staff!
Founded in 1882 by an Italian immigrant named Frascio, this is one of Texas’ longest operating sandwich shops. It’s still Family run in the heart of Victoria. This is the absolute perfect stop for people traveling between Houston and the coast. The sandwiches are delicious and the staff is quick and friendly. You’ll be surrounded by locals talking about the weekend activities or the anticipation of the upcoming football game. The tea is refreshing and the kitchen is clean. I will be coming here every time I come down to Port Aransas.
