Forté Coffee

Decent coffee in Michigan. Quiet packed on a cold winter Saturday lots of locals. The high rating is primarily for boss man! Guy knows how to take care of his customers! Barista screwed up the order (please listen) dumps out cuz she poured too much water (against instructions) I said you can’t do that, boss man heard me made her dump it out and make me the Americano the way I wanted. Really appreciated that (for $7 please get it right!!)

The latte I ordered just was just off... the oat milk was chalky and the espresso didn't have body to it and was kinda sour. I love an espresso forward latte and even ordered an extra shot, it was still just not right. The lady at the counter was annoyed when I asked if the syrups were made in house and then it got awkward in there. If I were to make a suggestion, it would be to do a taste test of non-dairy milks - flavor and quality matter a lot. Try Pacific brand barista blend soy, coconut, or almond - the generic brand from martins tastes like crap and is absolutely not worth spending $10 on

They roast their coffee onsite & on a regular basis. Staff is super nice. This coffee shop is a step above the rest with a great setting & well trained staff. Their espresso coffee is one of the very best in town. Freshly roasted beans make a difference.

When I visited, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They sell bagged coffee and were more than willing to ground the coffee for me. The shop provides an excellent atmosphere for all patrons. Most interesting is a working typewriter in the corner for individual to write notes. The fireplace in the corner really makes you feel cozy while you enjoy your drink. They offer a few sandwiches and bottled drinks, but their speciality is the brewed drink.

Forte Coffee is a decent place to get coffee drinks, and some light cafe fare. The employees are friendly. All the baked goods are made in house. The beans are roasted in-house as well, and are available for purchase for at-home brewing.
