A very beautiful and well taken care of beach! Loved every minute spent here! Can't wait to come back
Great beach. Not crowed at all when we were there midday on a Monday in December.
Very cool town. These were taken on the road leading to Sanibel Island - bridge in picture. Sky was very dark and it was 4:30 pm. It didn't storm only appeared it would. This little stop had the ocean smell - 😊 - and shells and rocks with fossils. Could have sat for hours listening to the waves crash against the shore.
Fort Myers Beach was a beautiful place to spend the day! The sand is soft and white, and although the water can look a bit cloudy because of the waves stirring up the sand, it’s actually great for swimming. The beach is very spacious and stretches out for quite a distance, so it never felt too crowded. Just a heads-up: most parking lots charge $20–$30 for the whole day, but if you look near the front areas, you can find spots for $2 per hour. There were also ice cream vendors around – a bit pricey though, we paid $5 for one cone. Overall, we had a wonderful time and it was definitely worth the visit!
The beach has definitely changed A LOT since the last hurricane but it's still a nice beach. We went during low tide and the beach area was huge plus we walked out really far and the water was still only at our knees! The kids had a blast playing in the water and finding conch shells all over, I've never seen so many in one place! We stayed until sunset which was stunning as usual! It was a great family beach day with the soft sand, warm water and barely any people in sight!
