Fort Myer Dining Facility

DAC: Friday/ August 29th at 1145. Enjoyed plentiful, savory lunch. Plenty of parking. Have $ if machines not working. Immaculate small dining room.

Building underwent a huge renovation and is now really nice. DFAC is basically all-you-can-eat, and they give you a to-go plate. Some items are better than others (the fries can be a little soggy), but there’s so much variety that you never struggle to find something good to eat. Espresso machines and soda fountains. Pretty great value for just $7, especially since you can get a to-go plate after you’re done eating.

The dining facility (Defac) was renovated and officially reopened on June 12th. The new aesthetics are impressive, and the food is exceptionally delicious. It’s clear that the army is making positive strides. In my 20 years of service, I’ve never experienced a Defac as outstanding as this one. Well done, Army!

Every day I look forward to eating here, especially on the weekends for brunch and supper. The food is always hot and delicious, but the real icing on the cake is the exceptional and superb service delivered by the staff here. Hernandez, one of the staff members here, is always positive with a big smile on his face. His friendly demeanor and customary expression, never fails to put a smile on my face. If you're reading this, "Have an Old Guard day!"

I don't care how bad the food tastes or how small the portion size is but when you get spoiled milk 3 times in a month, that's ridiculous. The refrigerator they store the milk in is not cold enough to store milk.
