Forsyth County Public Library - Cumming Library

Huge library with nearly everything you could want. I love the little activity supplies on the tables in the juvenile section. My only complaints are related to the layout (the things I look at are far from each other) and some of the promoted books (there is some obvious personal bias in selections for the suggested books sometimes). But everyone has a built in bias and I'm not one of those people thinking it's intentionally done. I think the ladies who work there pick books that they think kids will love, nothing more. It's not a political thing, more of a parent thing (think about what you might not want your children reading about at age x or age y). There was an attempt to remodel the facility but it looks the same, like a fashion slap from the 90s. To compare it with Hampton or Post Rd libraries, Cumming facility feels old, cold and unattractive. Please, repaint the place, add some visual energy and excitement to the environment.

Well designed and maintained library. They have classes and events for kids and also have Harry Potter in stock pretty regularly!

I use to love this library as a child. Today was my first day back in the library since atleast 2004. I was very impressed! The facility itself is beautiful and very well maintained. I was blown away by the array of events hosted by the library as well. Today was my sons first library visit where we attended the Halloween story time and parade. We will definitely be back for some if the other events we found posted on the bulletin board. We renewed my library card today amd we will definitely be back! We absolutely live the staff and atmosphere! Job well done!

My kids love coming to the library and we have always had a good experience until today. Staff doesn’t seem to excited about having smaller children in the little play area. My little one started crying so I was getting my things ready to leave and they would just look at us and then turn to each other and laugh.
