Food truck El amiguito

My first time getting tacos from a truck in Philly and of course they’re 1000 times better than restaurants!! Prices are very fair, I got 3 al pastor tacos for $11 and it comes with cucumbers, radish, lime, roasted jalapeño, and red + green salsa. They also have a drink menu, but the drinks are served in plastic water bottles, which skeeved me out a bit. I think they would benefit from switching to actual drink cups! I have to say the salsas can be much spicier, they were very mild which I was a bit disappointed about. They also use store bought white corn tortillas, which I did not have a problem with, but I know it can be an issue for some people. They use two tortillas per taco and the tortillas are cooked in the meat oil beforehand. I would definitely come back here again!

Food truck located on 17th and Washington… a must try! I got the bistec tacos and oh my goodness, I wouldn’t change a thing about them. Squeezed lime and the salsa verde on top, absolute 10/10. Ordered there and it was less than a 10 minute wait. Accept cards, which is great. Definitely coming back to try more!

This is one of my favorite Mexican food trucks I’ve been to in Philly, without a doubt. Pollo and steak tacos are top tier, and need nothing other than small diced onion, cilantro, those perfectly fried onions, and green and orange salsas. The chicken tinga burrito is loaded with flavor, filled with plenty of tender, spicy chicken tinga, and not bogged down by too much rice, etc., so that it’s well-balanced. The aguas are light and refreshing, and thankfully not too sweet. I think they’ve slightly upped the spice level on their orange salsa, which I appreciate. There is a careful touch and clear attention to detail and freshness that helps this truck stand out. Their presentation across the board is muy bueno. Food truck you can order ahead and pick up. My son loves this place and only raves about their food. We're from Richmond, VA and our Mexican food is honestly better than what is found in the the North. Generally the carnita quesidella and meat tacos lacked flavor, even when sauces were added.
