About Flying Star Cafe

We’ve always loved food – good food, that is. Back in 1987 we needed a place to go. A place to drink good coffee and watch the world go by. A place where good food was homemade and where the desserts were fresh. We decided to buy and renovate a... More

The service and Atmosphere is so great! I had the breakfast burrito and I was just not happy with it. The red chile that is smothered needs some work. The red chile has almost a smokey flavor. The burrito filling had so much flavor.

Everyone is always so nice, and it certainly isn’t your employees’ fault the food is disappointing, mediocre, and astoundingly overpriced. I got the chicken and biscuits with gravy and receive what can only be described as two of the smallest, driest, saddest chicken fingers, drowning in a pool of gravy so rosemary forward it cleared my sinuses. I normally would not complain about small portions but the entire mess was 18 dollars! 18 dollars for gravy soup. What happened to y’all? Private equity???

A little pricey but we'll worth it. If you ever go and want a solid breakfast, get the Croque Madame, it is a little pricey, but well worth it.The cheese sauce is dynamic and the homemade bread really has a wonderful taste.

OMG, I had to stop in my tracks to do this review. Stopped by this gem on our way to the Tram for coffee and a quick bite and you can already tell we were in for an amazing morning treat… special thanks to Marty! He made us feel so welcome and even shared quick tips on quick bites all the way to our next few adventure stops.. which made this quick stop so much more fruitful than we anticipated. The food was delicious! We got the burrito + a bakery treat and we are coming back!

Went to Flying Star Cafe after lots of recommendations. There was a bit of wait. They took our order and at the same time gave us our coffee right there. We got seated. And we're served in less than 10 minutes. The serving size was HUGE. We ordered 3 mains for 4 people and had some leftovers. The omelet was perfect, and the right amount of veggies and cheeses. Bagel was toasted a little too much. The heuvos rancheros was amazing - I tried it for the first time. I will definitely be having it again! The French toast was fabulous as its name. Perfect end to breakfast.
