Got you! Here’s a slightly longer, full-message version for Yelp: ⸻ Went to Floriana with some friends for restaurant week. Honestly, the experience was just kind of… okay. I’ve ordered from them on DoorDash before and really enjoyed it, but dining in didn’t quite hit the same. The squash soup wasn’t really my thing (might just be personal taste), the lasagna felt a little bland, and dessert was fine but nothing special. Service was good, and the space is cute and cozy, though parking can be a bit tricky. Overall, it wasn’t bad, but for me, it was a bit underwhelming
A very quaint and warm cozy place to enjoy amazing food. Staff is friendly and very welcoming. Food is crafted to perfection. On a cold day try the mulled wine. The duck is amazing as is the butternut squash ravioli.
Went during restaurant week. Cheese and meats board was generous, nothing too special about the cuts of meat or cheese but it was a good deal. The beetroot salmon for my entree was not the best- the main flavor profile was sweet but it was also over salted at the same time… however, the lamb gnocchi was good. The chocolate mousse hit the spot for me. Overall, this place has good deals so I would go again. I think I will stick to their pasta menus next time!
ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL! I love Floriana. The food is always incredible. Charming ambiance and the drinks are fantastic. I love their black gnocchi, filet mignon, rib eye, chicken, the mushroom risotto, calamari, baby beet salad, bolognese and lasagna are all spectacular. The bread is always fresh and I love their little green olive oil garlic sauce. And flawless service even better than the Four Seasons. Always a wonderful experience and haven't been disappointed in the twenty years I've been going here. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
The food was amazing. From the bread plate with some of the best pesto I have had, to the arancini and lobster linguine, everything was fabulous. And the portions were very large, something you don't expect from a higher end restaurant. The menu is limited, but that means the dishes are fresh and nothing was frozen. It's in an old converted brownstone, so the atmosphere is just ok, but it didn't matter because the food was so good.
