Flip Flop Sub Shop

This used to be my favorite sub shop. I would tell everyone (including the guy that made my sandwich) that they had the best Italian sub in the area. That has always been my go-to order. I think ownership may have changed recently because my last two visits have been deeply disappointing. The bread is different. It's significantly smaller, kinda stale tasting, and is more like a hot dog bun (in size, taste, and consistency). I get that costs are rising and other area restaurants are downsizing portions, but downsizing quality is unacceptable. Really, it used to be that half a sub left me stuffed. Great service! Inside service station but then you get your choice of chips and drinks. The pickle relish was tasty but not too spicy. Perfect for take out! Named the veggie sandwich the "Loggerhead" which should be the "Green" because loggerheads are carnivores - eat crustaceans, fish and other marine animals. Fully grown Green sea turtles are omnivores🐢.

This place had THE BEST subs around. Period. Then, in the last month or so something changed. New ownership? I don't know. But the subs are noticeably smaller now and the bread is terrible. My subs today felt like they were on slightly stale oversized hot dog buns, not the sub rolls I have come to expect from this place. So disappointed. I may give them one more try to see if they improve, but if things stay they way they are now I won't be returning.

Used to be the best sub shop, good luck walking in and getting one now with their online change its all they prioritize. Bread is extremely stale as well now. I dont know what happened to this place.

Amazing subs!!! All ingredients are fresh and top quality. All of our wraps and subs exceeded our expectations. Definitely go here and get a sandwhich you will not regret it and will go back for more!!
