Drove up from Savannah to visit the Old Sheldon Church ruins and found Fletcher's nearby in Yemassee for lunch. Pulled pork sandwich with house bbq sauce and house chips (seasoned pita chips) & loaded chili dog and broccoli salad. And for dessert, brownie ala mode! Left with soy candle and 4 bars of goat milk scented soap - Christmas morning, cotton & chamomile, lavender and Carolina fresh. Great stop, friendly and accommodating staff, great food, great atmosphere!! Look forward to going back!!
Great Mom and Pop stop, 5 minutes off 95 to stop and stretch your legs during a long trip. Basin Bbq Burger and Squash Puppies, French Dip and homemade chips and the sloppy dogs were all delicious. The kids were happy! Lots to look at inside while waiting. Great service and the food came out hot and fast. Highly recommend!
Hidden near the highway, this place is a delightful find for those seeking something different. With a small but impressive menu, the smash puppies stood out with their flavorful breading. The Fletchers burger was a standout, and the boss hog impressed with its combination of Mac n cheese and cornbread. The Carolina crisps with homemade pimento cheese added a tasty touch. Open Wednesday to Friday, this place offers fresh, in-house made dishes. From squash puppies to Salmon Salad, Pulled Chicken Sandwich, and cobbler with ice cream, the food was exceptional. A suggestion would be to have a homemade dip for the puppies. Overall, a solid 10/10 for fresh and flavorful fare.
Absolutely delicious!!!! Quaint little down home country restaurant.
What a wonderful quaint little spot to visit for lunch. Handmade soaps, candles, antiques, and delicious food. Why wouldn't you stop in?! The BBQ is great, their Blue Moon salad was fresh and delicious, and my son says the burger with housemade chips was "friggin delicious." I also got to try their baked potato salad. It was a brilliant twist on what can sometimes be a very boring side. We even got to meet Mr. Fletcher himself!
