Flan Factory - Ybor

Had an amazing experience at The Flan Factory! The food was absolutely incredible — authentic, flavorful, and made with so much care. You can tell everything is crafted with tradition behind it. And of course, the flan lives up to the name. Smooth, perfectly sweet, and easily one of the best desserts we’ve had. What made it even more special was getting to meet the owner’s mother while we were there. That personal touch made the whole experience feel like more than just a meal — it felt like being welcomed into a family tradition. You could genuinely feel the heart behind the restaurant. If you’re anywhere near Tampa and love authentic cuisine with real story and soul behind it, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back.

Flan factory was a great place to stop into for a quick bite and a sweet treat! I had their Beef Empanada, El Cubanazo, and a Conquito Flan. The empanada was fried perfectly and very delicious. The flan was delicious as well and the cubanazo drink was not my personal favorite due to the Malta but I had never had these flavors before and wanted to try so I think its for someone just not for me. All in all, the service was helpful and fast and the place itself is beautiful! I would definitely come back to have more of their delicious Flan and other foods on the menu!

Hands down the best restaurant in Tampa. The food is out of this world! It comes freshly made and you get a ton of food for a good price. My sandwich was $14 and it was just drowning in coconut shrimp. My husband got the pork tacos and they were incredible. The owner is so sweet and friendly. The staff are passionate and super friendly. The atmosphere is so calming. They did a gorgeous job decorating and there’s lot of cute Tampa references. Just an amazing gem of a place. And their homemade flan is to die for! We ordered some before concert and had to come back after for more they were so good. Amazing food! Got the mojo sandwich with the plátanos maduros and the arroz/frijoles. The real highlight was the flan. Got to meet the owner’s mother, who told me the story of how this family restaurant started. Her mother, Olga, created the original flan recipe. And it was passed down the family. The #1 flan seller is Olga’s original flan, which is fantastic but the coquito flan was the best. It tastes just like coquito. I am a flan snob,you can tell when people sell you the box flan because it’s so gelatinous that it jiggles. The flan from flan factory is incredibly creamy and tastes so good. One of the best I have ever had. Highly recommend.

A fantastic artisans expression of traditional Cuban food and deserts. The food and its Tampa Bay twist pay homage to the culture of both Cuba and the US. Their food is fantastic and their obvious expertise is in flan. I nearly tried the menu and I could not find a flaw. Even when an order was made incorrectly. They immediately remedied the error and remade the item for me. This is a staple of the neighborhood and soon it will be a corner stone of Armature Works. My new spot for coffee and a croquetta. All in all amazing staff/ownership, great food, and relaxed atmosphere with Minimal wait times.
