Fitz Delmar was a fun spot to stop and eat with a good friend. Our server explained the soda, Sundays/Floats and the favorites. We started with the Gooey Looey; butter cake, caramel, chocolate and vanilla ice cream with whipped cream over cream soda. Definitely worth trying and eating before the main course. We also ordered the Jalapenos Ranch burger, they cut in halves and split on two plates for us. A good choice if you like a little heat. Bathrooms are clean, there are two stories of seating, if lucky you will see them bottling the soda made right there from 1940s equipment.
What a great experience. Glad that we had reservations are may have waited a few minutes. Everyone there was great from the hostess to our waiter. Would highly recommend visiting this place. Also took home desserts the Gooey Butter Cake and Apple Crisp, very delicious they both were.
This was an incredibly fun, yummy place to grab dinner. They were pretty busy for 3pm on a Saturday but our party of 4 was seated in about 10 minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful. The burgers were yummy but the floats were out of this world and the root beer the best we've ever had. This is a great place for the whole family.
My first time here and it was great. I had the st louis BBQ burger and the Gooey Louey, of course majority of the burger had to come home. It was big and flavor was great but I had to save room for that float. Oh my goodness. Needless to say as yummy as it was I couldnt finish that either. The waiter was very attentive and the atmosphere was great. I love the factory inside the restaurant that was definitely one of my favorites. Oh and of course I have to add the homemade root beer was delicious one of my favorites. (I always order homemade/ house brewed root beer when it's available. Fitz was in the top 3 of my favorites)
This is what nostalgia taste like. This restaurant is fun and a great place to escape when home visiting family for the holidays and you’ve grown tired of turkey. Don’t bring your New Year’s resolutions here. Now when I get a bottle of Fitz‘s at Pops on Route 66 in Oklahoma, I’m reminded of the lovely times we had here.
