Fish City Grill

Awesome place. Great service and the food is top notch. The crawfish was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The corn is so fresh. We also had the calamari appetizer and being from Cali I’m very qualified to say it is in my top three for flavor and tenderness. Ask for Kaylyn to serve you she is GREAT!

Party of five adults dined here 2/28/2026 6pm. We has reservation and we're promptly seated. Staff is wonderful. Greeter were very polite & friendly. Our server was exceptional and made our dining experience very enjoyable. She was attentive, polite, & kind. She was excellent. We all started with multiple dozens of northeast coast oysters on half shell which were very fresh & delightfully. All in group loved their entree choices. I really liked "cod fish & chips". We all plan on returning very soon.

Food here is decent here. We ordered the gumbo, red beans and rice, house salad, calamari, hamburger for the kiddos, fish city sandwich. Fish was cooked to perfection but flavor was lacking in the fish city sandwich. The burgers were a bit dry. Gumbo was a little salty but the red beans and rice was perfect. Perfect portion size and the prices were decent as well. Service was good. It's a great place for small and large groups. Has a bar and grill feel and kind of marine vibes -suppose to feel like you're in a pirate ship type theme. I wouldn't knock it till you try it. May be your vibe. Till then, let's eat!!!

Wow, great food, no complaints. The food was fresh, I don't give many 5 star reviews, but the red fish and shrimp was absolutely excellent, the desert was exceptionally delicious.

I ate here back in September and I gave it a 1 star only because of the horrible tasting oysters. They tasted like they came from dirty sewer water from a stinky bay. Not fresh at all. I eat oysters a lot from other restaurants and this was the worst taste and portion size at the highest price. However, my husband enjoyed his fish sandwich and we shared fried pickles that were delicious. I also ordered gumbo which was ok. The atmosphere was clean, bright, and welcoming. The service was good too. I will not return because of the bad oysters. I will stick to the fish n tails oyster bar in McKinney for that.
