Cozy and bright coffee shop on a busy corner of little Bangladesh. Decided to check them out with bae after yoga class. The shop is nicely decorated with a flower motif, giving heavy date spot vibes. Pastries looked very delicious and almost museum like in the display. I went with a cocunut sandosh latte. As explained to me, sandosh is a Bangali dessert. The latte was smooth with a cocunut flavor base and a hint of floral notes. I treated bae to a mango matcha latte, iced. Was also delicious. We sat by the window and enjoyed our conversation, while we watched the second major snowstorm of the year, a blizzard this time, start to fall on the street. It was very calming. I noticed they didn’t have any music playing in the background and although there were several people in the shop it was
I stumbled upon First Cup Cafe during a weekend walk and I'm so glad I did. This isn't just another coffee shop—it's a uniquely wonderful experience that seamlessly blends a cozy cafe vibe with incredible, authentic Bengali-Indian street food. I'll be thinking about their fuchka for days! Let's start with the service: fast, genuinely friendly, and helpful. The staff seemed proud of their menu and were happy to explain their offerings. The atmosphere is a huge plus. It's spacious, airy, and filled with interesting decor that makes it perfect for everything from a solo work session with a laptop to a casual catch-up with friends. You never feel cramped, which is rare in city cafes. Now, the most important part—the food and drink. Their unique menu is what truly sets them apart. The fuchka
Small and beautiful cafe with a good mix of authentic Bengali vibe and classic cafe drinks. Really liked their strawberry matcha latte. Service was great and friendly. They have a good selection of standard drinks but also some refreshers and savory snacks. Happy to have another halal spot in Astoria!
Bangali family owned. Really original flavours with bangali fusion dishes. Very reasonably priced. We got the malai chaa which is just plain Dhaka Chaa, rosh malai latte, chopped cheese and doi fuchka
