Firehouse Subs Berkeley Blvd

Went to support a local school raising money for a charity. Sad to say I didn’t even know we had a Five Guys in Goldsboro. I ordered the “Thanksgiving Dinner” sub with gravy on the side. ONE OF THE BEST SUBS IVE HAD IN A LONG TIME. Service was great and prices are reasonable for the area. Look how soft that bread is.

My boyfriend was craving a sub and this is where he wanted to go. Of course I had to try something because I had been at work all day and didn't eat anything. I had a sub with roast beef, ham and turkey. . . Everything on it with extra lettuce, mayo and turkey. It was perfect. I ate the whole thing. It was so good. Now they forgot the extra meat on his sandwich so we had to wait for them to remake his. The guy who took our order was very friendly but the young lady making it had the meanest look on her face and didn't speak to anyone, you could definitely tell she did not want to be there. And she definitely wasn't happy when she had to remake the sub because she forgot extra meat. Her attitude will not stop us from coming back.

Food was of terrible quality! My entire sub bun was so soggy that I could not eat the bun! In addition my first bite of my steak & cheese sub was COLD! My husbands bun on his sub was soggy too! I won’t be returning here any time soon to spend $25 on soggy food! Need to stop asking for a tip when you pay with a card! If I paid cash you wouldn’t have asked me for a tip! Tip culture is out of hand, especially when you have wait on yourself!!!

Stopped in and ordered a large French dip sandwich at 6:15 pm on a Friday evening. Waited 20 minutes for the sandwich, then was told they were out of au jus, would it rather have a cup of soup. The best part and the reason for ordering this sandwich is the au jus. Extremely disappointed.
