Firehouse Cafe

This was a cute little place I found when visiting the area. The food was great but the prices were a bit high, $50, for 2 people to have breakfast. What really killed the rating was my plate being taken before I was done eating! When we entered the restaurant the only open table was an 8 top. We sat down at one end and another couple sat down at the other end. All was well until a large party arrived. I sat my fork down to take a drink of my coffee and a waitress, that wasn't even serving us, just came and took my plate!!! They then proceeded to start seating the large party at the table I was still sitting at trying to finish my coffee and juice. For $50 you would think I could at least finish my food and drink. Needless to say, we won't be back.

This cafe is in a cool old firehouse (as the name would imply) complete with a fireman's pole going through one of the tables. Unfortunately, you cannot slide down the pole. The food is pretty good. They have an array of standard breakfast items and some good chili.

It was a fun place to check out while we were in town. The food was good and the portions were huge.

Restaurant was clean and has a small town atmosphere. Service was quick and friendly. Menu is simple but has a decent variety. I had the country fried steak sandwich with onion petals. Overall the food was okay, I asked if the steak patty was made in house and was told yes but it didn’t taste that way. It reminded me more of something I could get at the grocery store and cook myself. Price was acceptable for quantity/quality of the food. I would not rule out a return visit but I’ll try breakfast next time.

My wife and I were looking for a good place to eat that was locally owned. I got the breakfast burrto with ham and hash browns. I had a choice of homemade salsa or picante sauce with my burrito and I choose the salsa. The homemade salsa was unbelievably good. My wife ordered the French toast and there were four pieces. The bread pieces were big and thick and they took up the entire plate. The portions were big and the food was delicious. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. It looked like the business was family owned. The cafe is located in an old small firestation. This is a small "hole in the wall cafe" which for me, is what I loved about it. It is a seat yourself cafe. The atmosphere was obviously a fireman theme. Great food, good service, and we will def
