Filbert Bed & Breakfast

An unexpected yet wonderful stay at this charming B&B!! Kathy is an excellent host, attentive and friendly. The place was clean, cozy, and close to our wedding destination! We couldn’t be happier with our stay. Highly recommend if you are going skiing at blue mountain or camel back!

While hiking the Appalachian Trail in this area, I had the pleasure of staying two nights at Filbert. The home and property are unique and very nice. My room was spacious, the bathroom was large and nice, and everything was very clean. Kathy is an outsanding cook and the breakfast's were excellent (many items home-grown on her farm). For hikers, Kathy is very helpful and has it figured out. She shuttled me from the trail as well as nearby gaps so that I could slack-pack. She offers laundry service and stopped in town for me to make purchases. I have hiked 1300 miles of the AT and this is my best stay yet. Thank you Kathy!

We had a lovely second stay with Kathy. She was patient with our necessary schedule changes and always maintained her chatty friendliness. Good home base for Bethlehem and Jim Thorpe.

Great for a little weekend getaway. Kathy was very kind, checked in with us throughout our stay, and gave us recommendations for the area. The building is like stepping back into time and the room was cozy. The grounds were nice and it was relaxing to sit on the rocking chair and take in the fresh air and quiet surroundings. Breakfast was great too! Would stay again. Thanks!

This is a jewel of a place! We stayed there for Valentine's day and the room was so cozy, romantic and super clean. The breakfast was wonderful and can rival any artisan restaurant. We met another couple during the breakfast and it was so wonderful to have that experience. The staff was so friendly and made sure we had a wonderful time. We were there just for one night but both my husband and I felt that we vacationed and relaxed for longer than we actually did! We will definitely go back and we already booked a room for our daughter to stay before her civil ceremony. Do not hesitate, just GO!
